Shae

A week or 2 ago, Shae started pulling himself up to stand. When he does it, the look on his face is so funny. He looks so proud of himself. Again, Sydney is happy just sitting in one place.

Kyak Point

Owen, Kai and Peyton

Sydney and Shae with Grandma

Adyson, Owen, Peyton and Kai

A few weeks ago we met up with some old friends and went to Kyak Point. My niece and nephews where there too. I had not been there is years and I had forgotten how nice the beach is and how fun it is. My kids really loved it.

Twins 10 months

The twins are still doing well. They are learning to eat solid food better and pick it up themselves. Shae learned to crawl a few weeks ago. He is already getting in to everything. I am not used to that. He is my first kid that is everywhere and into whatever he can get his hands on. I may have to actually childproof for the first time. Sydney does not crawl, but seems like she could care less. She likes to just sit in one place and play with what is next to her. They are both sleeping thourgh the night now! 10-12 hours straight. I lost my camera for the majority of thier 10th month, so I do not take very many pictures of them.

July

July came and went and I forgot to post. We had two birthdays. Ruby turned 3 on the 19 and Kai turned 6 on the 30th. For Ruby's birthday we had the family over for cake and ice cream then we went to the mall and Ruby got a build a bear and got her ears pieced. It was a lot of fun, I think Ruby really enjoyed herself.
The night before every ones birthday I always decorate. Well, the night before Kai's b-day was record breaking high temperatures. I was not excited about getting up and chairs and taping streamers up while dripping down sweat. I did it anyway, I could not miss even one year. I could not find the tape so I used some tape from work that we use to tape down IV's . It sticks to people very well, but apparently not to the walls. I was so upset all that sweaty hard work to wake up and most to the decorations were on the floor. Oh well, it was the thought. Kai did not seem to upset. For his birthday, we let him choose what he wanted to do. He wanted to go see Transformers with his Dad and his cousin Colin. I heard they had so much fun. He got a remote controlled robot. The weekend after his birthday we went to Zak's parents house for cake and ice cream. Kai requested a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and he wanted it to be big and tall. I made a three layer cake that started to collapse and fall apart. I was able to salvage the bottom two layers though. It worked out okay. I also forgot to take pictures of Kai's b-day. I dont know what my problem was that day :)

Twins are 9 months

My babies are growing up! They just had a check up and they are both doing so well. Shae weighs 17 lbs 10 oz and is 29 inches long. Sydney weighs 15 lbs 12 oz and is 27.25 inches long. They are catching right up, they are only a little small for their age. Shae started sitting up now. They both are rocking on their knees, so I think they are going to be crawling soon. Shae got his first tooth a few days ago and Sydney is working on one right now.

Fun in the Mud

I was not very excited about it, but the kids were just having so much fun playing in the mud. It was so hard to get off. I had to scrub it off of them.

goofy kids

My kids are the best of friends. I am so lucky that they all play so well together. It makes life so much easier. Sometimes they play the goofiest things. One of which is when they decided to pretend to be each other and try to trick us. It funny because they all look so much like each other, for a second I really did think that Kai was Peyton.

Hanging out in Seattle

We went to the science center again. We had fun. We played around a bit and watched a little Imax movie about animals. We then went to see the water fountain that they turn on during the summer. (it is located near the Space needle). The kids were scared at first, but they jumped right in and had lots of fun. We were not planning on getting wet, so the kids went home in their soaking wet clothes.

Twins are 8.5 months old

The twins are doing very well. Sydney starting sitting up about 2 weeks ago. Shae is close but still falls over. Shae sleeps through the night about 10-12 hours at a time, but Sydney wakes me up all night still. We are having so much fun with them. It is getting a little easier around here. We are all having a fun summer so far.

Idaho Trip

Kai
Dawson
Shae, Zak and Sydney
Ruby

We also got to go swimming. It was a lot of fun to have everyone there together. The twins first time in a pool and I think they liked it.

Idaho trip with the Torres'

Peyton, Sole' and Kai
Tyler and Cruz
Dawson
Sole', Peyton, Kai, Dawson and Jim
Zak and Ruby

We decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Idaho to visit Zak's sister Cecilee and her family. It took us 10 hours to get there, and I have to say, the kids were not that bad. The twins only cried a little. The Torres' invited us to go up into the Idaho mountains with them to go Quad riding. We had so much fun. It was only a short trip, but we sure enjoyed it. We also got to see Cecilee and Jim's 5 week baby boy Cruz.

Ballet recital

Peyton had her end of the year recital. She did so good. This was her 3rd year of ballet.

Lake Stevens

The weather has been so nice this week. It is not usually nice enough to go the lake in May. My sis and I live right by this lake, she called me today and dragged me out there with her. It is so hard to go anywhere with the twins. We went while Peyton and Kai were in school. Ruby had so much fun. It made me realize how much she misses out on because we don't get out much. She is easily excited. Sydney looked to tired to get her out of her seat so I did not have her get in the water. Michelle put Shae's feet in a little and he actually seemed to like it. (Notice in the background of the picture of Shae is my niece just about to fall over in the water. We were a little preoccupied with Shae that we did not notice her almost "drown".)oops...

Twins are 7 months

This is a bit late, they are well into their 7th month. They are doing well besides the fact that they are sick more then they are healthy. They have a pretty yucky cold right now. Both had to be on antibiotics again. Shae has his first ear infection. They have both been kinda fussy and waking me up a lot at night. Other then that they are good. They are so much fun. In the past month they have learned how to roll over from their backs to their tummy's. They both prefer to sleep on their tummy's now. They look so cute in their crib. Shae is now 15.5 lbs and 25.5 inches long. Sydney is now 14.5 lbs and 24.5 inches long. They don't quite sit up yet, but they are working on it. I think I have adjusted well to having two of them, but I am definitely exhausted at the end of the day.

31 years old now

I cannot believe I am in my 30's. Time seems to be going by so fast. I had a very uneventful, but enjoyable birthday. Zak took the day off and let me sleep in and he did my job for the day while I did... nothing. I loved it. Every year for Zak and the kids birthday I decorate the night before. So Zak did it this year for me. He used all of my leftover scrapes from previous birthdays. One of the streamers he used said "birthday girls first birthday". He did quite an interesting job....it is the thought that counts though . One year he bought Dora the Explorer decorations for me. Zak and the kids also made me a chocolate cake that turned out very yummy. All in all it was a good day.

Twins Blessing Day 5-10-2009....finally

The twins were finally blessed! It took a few cancellation and misunderstandings, but it is all done now. It almost turned into a joke with how much of a deal it turned into to get it done. It seemed to be one thing after another. It was a wonderful day and experience. It made for a perfect Mother's Day for me. The babies looked so cute, thanks to Julia for the cute tie and bow (her twins will also be wearing them we they are blessed next month).

Best Friends

Kai and my nephew Colin. They have been best buds since they were babies. They are only 6 weeks difference in age. He comes over about every other week to play with Kai.

Easter 2009

On Saturday we went to a Primary Easter activity. The kids decorated cookies and went on an Easter egg hunt. It was fun for the kids. It also was raining as usual. The kids EAster baskets ere not very big this year. They just each got a big jug of bubbles, a puzzle and some candy. They seemed to be very happy with that. On Easter we had Zak's family over and my family over. Nothing to exciting. The kids wanted to do one more egg hunt, but it was pouring outside and very cold so we did a very small and rather pathetic indoor Easter egg hunt.

Pictures of the kids

The twins are 6 months- April 6th

I cannot believe my little babies are a half year old now. Time has really flown by. I am already missing the little baby stage. They both seem to be doing well. They are developmentally just like a 4 month old. They were recently evaluated, Sydney is a little further ahead in that she grabs and plays with her feet and can almost roll all the way over. Shae does not move around as much, but that is normal for his corrected age. Now that they are 6 months old, I started feeding them baby rice cereal. They both seem to be liking it. The other kids sure thought it was exciting when we first feed them. We took pictures of it, and as you can see, Ruby wanted to help by holding onto my hand.

The ZOO

I was feeling a little wild last Monday and decided to go to the Zoo with the kids. We had just been out to Seattle and I vowed to not go anywhere for a long time, but when the weather was suppose to be in the upper 60's to 70's I just had to go. Weather like that this time of year is unheard of. I had the kids skip out on school and we went, with my Mom, of course. It was very tiring, but the kids had fun. It felt so good to be in the sunshine.

Twins

I love to take pictures of my kids when they are sleeping. The Twins look so cute and sweet.

Spring break- first week in April

Spring break was very uneventful. The twins had a few appointments this week so we could not really have much fun. On Friday we decided to go the the Pacific Science center. It was quite the adventure taking everyone out all the way to Seattle. Luckily I had the help of my Mom. I do not think I could do it with out her. Keeping track of everyone and feeding everyone was a bit of a challenge. After we went to the Science center we decided to stop off at at cupcake shop and have the kids each pick one out. It was very fun for the them and very yummy. At the end of the day I vowed to not leave the house with my whole crew again for a long time.
