December 2007

I was not ready for Christmas this year. Didn't we just have it? Sure felt like it. It was hard for me to get in the spirit of it. We went to my Sister on Christmas Eve and had a little family party. Zak and I wanted to jazz it up a bit so we dressed in some holiday attire. Unfortunately they do not sell Men's holiday sweaters so Zak had to wear a Women's sweater. We also both wore matching mock turtle necks with a Christmas present picture on the side of the neck. I have to say, we looked adorable and very festive. Yes, those are reindeer earrings I am wearing with bobble eyes on them. I also felt that wearing socks over my nylons and a pair of tennis shoes with my skirt really added to that edgy flare and look I was going for.

November 2007

I know it is only November, but we got our tree nice and early. We often experience what I like to call "tree drama" every year. I really wanted to avoid that this year. I have to admit that we usually have the drama because of me. Every year I try to find a way to get a cheap tree. It is so hard for me to spend so much on a dumb tree, especially here is Washington when they are everywhere! I try to go to new places and we end up getting lost or it gets dark by the time we get there or the trees are crappy or Zak is suppose to meet us there and its dark by the time he arrives or they end up costing even more money. We always wined up going to the same place we always go. No joke, this happens every year. Never fails. This year was going to be different. I still had to have us just check out one place, but the difference was this place was only a few miles from our house and our old faithful expensive tree farm was a lot further a way. So I convinced Zak and we went. Well those trees were crappy and even more expensive. Zak was so bugged he just wanted us to get one and go. I just couldn't do it, I told Zak I was wrong and that I was sorry but we had to leave and I promised I wouldn't try to go somewhere different anymore. We went to where we alwyas go and got a pretty nice tree and we had a good time and spent a fortune.

October 2007

I love Halloween. Peyton wanted to be a princess again. She was Belle. Kai was Jack Sparrow and Ruby was a lady bug. We had a pumpkin carving contest with my sister and her husband. Its kind of cheesy, but I had lots of fun.

September 2007

My little girl started Kindergarten! It was actually hard for me, I shed a little tear. Peyton was so excited to ride the bus. She had been talking about wanting to do it for years. So we all went out to the bus stop with her and waited and waited and the bus never showed. Peyton was so sad and I was mad because I wanted to capture that moment on camera. The bus came the next day and I took pictures then, it just wasn't the same :)

August 2007

Last summer was not really summer. We had some of the worst weather I have ever known. Usually you can at least count on August being sunny the majority of the month, but it was not! It rained a lot and was cold. We did not go the lake as often as I wanted to, but we were able to go a few times. We found out this month that Kai needs glasses. He looks so cute.

July 2007

We went to visit my family in Oregon. My little sis had her baby. We stayed for a while, it was a lot of fun.

June 2007

June was a busy month. There are too many pictures to choose from. We had the privilege of having the Aldridge's at our house again. They stayed with us for quite a while. It was lots of fun. During this month Peyton learned how to ride a bike without training wheels, which was very exciting.

May 2007

We took a road trip to Utah to visit with Friends and family. It was exciting to take the kids to Temple square for the first time and to visit with old friends.

April 2007

This is probably the last time we were able to say that Ruby was fat. She used to be so chunky and now she is tiny. In this picture she is 9 months old. And, I am not sure what that is on her face.

March 2007

We went to Whistler, Canada with the Dumas'. We had so much fun with them. It was a memorable trip.

Febuary 2007

The aldridges came to visit this month and Julia helped me finally get rid of the sky mural in my dining room.Yes, that is a bird painted up there. It was so hard to get rid of that, I was so attached.

January 2007

It actually snowed! You never know here in Washington, sometimes it snows a lot, a little or not at all. I always hope for a least one big snow storm. It snowed enough for us to at least build this awful looking snow man.

A look back at 2007

It was a fun year. Everyday I love being a Mom and I love my kids more and more. Life is getting very busy for us, but I am enjoying every minute of it. I can't believe how old my kids are already. Peyton turned 6, Kai 4 and Ruby 17 months. They are so fun to me. I do have some hard days, but I try to remember that this time goes by so fast so I need to enjoy every minute of it, and I do! I want to include some Pictures throughout 2007 that represent that year.

My New Years Resolution!

I am finally going to do it! I am going to join in on all of this blog spot business. This is one of the many things I want to do different this year. I have felt pressured by friends and family to start one up. I guess I am ready now. Lets hope I can stick with it. I am hoping it will help me be better at capturing pictures and moments of my family. I am also thinking it will be a great way to keep in touch with all of you that don't live near us. But, please give me a break while I learn how to do all this fancy stuff. I really don't know what I am doing.
