Ruby and her toilet paper baby

My little Ruby has got to be one of my strangest kids. She entertains all of us and amazes us on a daily basis. She loves babies and loves to play babies and she has a ton of babies, but for some reason the other day she was pretending that this toilet paper roll was her baby. In the picture above she lay ed it down and put blankets on it and then started to "burp her baby". I need to start writing down all of the goofy things she does. This is just one in many.

Snow 2008!!!!

It has been snowing and snowing and snowing over here for over a week now. I have been loving it. It is so beautiful. I think that most people around here are hating it though. I don't mind because I am stuck at home anyway. The kids have been having so much fun playing in it.

Twins 2 months

I decided to keep the picture of the twins crying because that is a true representation of how they are. They seem to join in together in crying harmony quite often.

RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus)

I have been trying so hard to keep the twins inside and the germs away. RSV is a virus that can be dangerous if preemie babies get it because it can go down into their lungs and cause breathing problems. To adults and older kids it is just a bad cold. RSV season just started over here and with our luck, most of us got it including Shae. Shae started coughing on a Thursday night and by Sunday he was having trouble breathing so we had to go to the emergency room. He was admitted and put on oxygen. There was not much they could do except watch his oxygen level and suction him out. I was so scared because babies can get extremely sick from this. Well Shae pulled through and is recovering well. He only had to stay at the hospital until Wednesday and he is doing much better. Kai and Ruby have been coughing non stop and now both have ear infections. Peyton just told me today that she thinks she is sick and unfortunately Sydney is now showing symptoms. I hope Sydney's does not go into her lungs otherwise we will be back in the hospital. It had been fun times here at the Heath house. 2008 as been one of our most challenging years.

Christmas Tree

We broke tradition this year. We normally go to a tree farm the day after Thanksgiving and cut one down, but because of my sister we were not able to nor did we have the desire to. I did not want to wait any longer, I wanted to try to maybe change the mood around here and try to get a little Christmas spirit going on. The tree farm is only open on the weekend and it was Tuesday so I convinced zak to let us just go to Home Depot this year. Zak had the hardest time he did not want to has he said it "shop" for a Christmas tree, but he agreed that it might help us all to get into the spirit. It was very strange to hunt for a tree at the Depot, but we were successful and all agree that this tree might be our favorite so far.

Heather

Last week my older sister Heather passed away. We were very close and I will miss her deeply. This is a very difficult time for me and my family. It has not fully sunk in yet. We have set up a blog for Heather and would like anyone who knew her to please write something they remember about her. We will eventually make it into a book and give it to her kids.
